Bought this back in 1988 and have made a few felt rag dolls from the instructions.The pictures really inspire you, showing dolls in various scenes (party, winter visiting, bedtime) dressed in clothing of Jane Austen era. Not really difficult to get lovely results, and you can adapt patterns as desired. Also includes details on how to make the dolls' pet dog and bedroom & living room furniture, and even a doll for them! Really lovely book… (plus d'informations)

This book is full of charming ideas. I can't wait to try some of them out!
This is an excellent book that shows how to make a variety of of fairytale inhabitants such as the Three Bears, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella in rags in addition the furniture used also has instructions and patterns included. Valerie Janitch leaves no detail out and these dolls turn out adorable!
