"Dan James broke his drawing hand in the winter of 2001. During this time he was inspired with the story of 'Mosquito' and drew it left handed. The story then sat for three years while Dan worked on illustrations for his previous book, 'The Octopi and the Ocean.' Upon publishing the Octopi, Mr. Warnock of Top Shelf Productions asked Dan for another, longer book. After punching Mr. Warnock several times and breaking his left hand, Dan set out to draw a new right handed version of the nearly forgotten 'Mosquito'. He drew over 300 full size drawings, and then formated them to fit this 152 page book. Dan is currently incarcerated for aggravated assault, and is hard at work on several new books.
