Humu was a colorful shy fish who wanted to be one color like his fiends. So he ran away and wished away all his beautiful colors. Once he was mono colored he didn't like it and his friends helped him realize that he was beautiful the way he used to be. This book shows self esteem.

this book is about a fish that looks different than all of his friends and doesn't want to. He wished his colors away, and then when his colors are gone, he realizes that he was perfect the way he was before.

This book made me realize that I am good the way I am, even though I am different from the people around me.

Although this book does not address multiculturalism directly, I believe that it is a good example because it addresses looking different than others. I think this is a good book to read to younger children to help them realize that it is not a bad thing to look different from your friends. Your friends should like you for who you are, inside and out.… (plus d'informations)
