Ah, a book that advocates a school-wide reading culture. In secondary schools, such an initiative is far to uncommon. So, we are very interested, particularly to find out if the teacher librarian and the teacher technologist are even considered as players in such an initiative. Usually, they are never mentioned. Surprise! They are included as important members of the leadership team. The book is a comprehensive description of how a whole-school reading culture should develop. The authors recognize that reading takes place in every learning activity, project, and assignment and help teachers understand how the reading culture crosses everything they do. If your secondary school is considering such an initiative, consider this recommendation for a structure.
