Donna R. IRISH, Obituary
Donna Virginia (Ross) Irish, of Seattle, passed away on November 18, 2012, at Queen Anne Health Center at the age of 75. Donna was born November 2, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was adopted and lovingly raised by Marshall and Virginia Curier Ross. Donna graduated from Rosemary Hall in Greenwich, Connecticut. She was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, and received a master's degree in education from Syracuse University. Donna taught briefly at Putnam Valley (NY) High School as well as Fayetteville-Manlius Central High School in Fayetteville, NY. Donna married James H. Irish III on Sept. 3, 1960, in Syracuse, NY. Together they had two daughters, Virginia and Melissa Irish. Donna, who enjoyed studying genealogy, published a genealogical research book titled "Pennsylvania German Marriages." Donna and Jim Irish first moved to Seattle from Rochester, NY, in 1979. They lived in Seattle until 1985, when they moved to Topeka, KS. They returned to Seattle in 1992, where Donna lived until the time of her death. Donna is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter Virginia Irish and her partner, Anete Wellhoefer, of Karlsruhe, Germany; daughter Melissa Irish and her partner, Veronica Villarreal, of Seattle; and sister Marsha Meyers of New York.
