Lilly's Secret par Miko Imai
Lilly has been going out with Joey for walks. But when Coco remarks on Lilly’s “weird paws,” Lilly is suddenly self-conscious of her paws and won’t hold Joey’s paw on the next walk. But Joey assures her he has always known about her paws and that he likes them, and besides, Lilly has never laughed about his crooked tail. Nice one about being comfortable about yourself.
A story about a community of eggs (hey, I don't write this stuff I just review it) lives in the shadow of the infamous wall of Humpty Dumpty fame. Little Lumpty dreams of climbing the wall, and does so when the opportunity arises. Once on top of the wall, he makes the mistake of looking down. Afraid, Lumpty calls for help and is rescued by his fellow eggs.
An enjoyable book, but a bit strange, in that there is no clear message or meaning to the book. Maybe it is just meant to be the biographical day in the life of an egg. The illustrations are a lot of fun.… (plus d'informations)
