Edward H. Bonekemper III, book review editor of Civil War News, is a former adjunct lecturer on U.S. Military History at Muhlenberg College. For over thirty-four years he served as a U.S. government attorney, primarily for the Department of Transportation. He is a retired commander in the U.S. afficher plus Coast Guard Reserve. Ed Bonekemper is the author of Ulysses S. Grant: A Victor, Not a Butcher and Grant and Lee: Victorious American and Vanquished Virginian.
