Courte biographie
Elizabeth Hunter is a contemporary fantasy, paranormal romance, and contemporary romance author. She is a graduate of the University of Houston Honors College in the Department of English (Linguistics) and a former English teacher. She once substitute taught a kindergarten class, but decided that middle school was far less frightening.

She currently lives in Central California with a seven-year-old ninja who claims to be her child. She enjoys music, writing, travel, and bowling (despite the fact that she’s not very good at it.) Someday, she plans to learn how to scuba dive. And maybe hang glide… but that looks like a lot of running.

Her contemporary fantasy series, The Elemental Mysteries, is a paranormal romance available in e-edition and paperback at all major online retailers.

When all my goodreads recommendations were suddenly urban fantasies about women in their 40s having a midlife crisis, I started to get pretty annoyed. Look GR, I know I'm inching up on 40 but are you trying to tell me something? I went ahead and gave this book a shot anyway and holy crap I'm glad I did. I love just about everything by Elizabeth Hunter, and this is no different. I relate HARD to the main character Robin and I devoured this book in a day. Can't wait to read the others.

First the idea of a bookstore and tattoo parlor is such a unique and cute idea I loved it. This story follows Emmie and Ox, the first time Emmie sees Ox he is on Main Street fighting with his ex girlfriend. Eventually they come together and create an awesome bookstore/tattoo shop they agree no romance since they work together so their relationship is a slow burn but man when they do decide to get together it’s sweet and hot. Ox is my new favorite book boyfriend and it took him some time to figure out what he really wanted out of his life but when he did he went all in.… (plus d'informations)

Waking Hearts by Elizabeth Hunter
Cambio Springs #3. Paranormal shifter mystery and romance. Best read as part of the series.
Four kids, two jobs and a pile of debt keeps fox shifter Alison Smith busy. She ties to stay positive and is grateful for her best friend and boss, Oliver Campbell. When trouble from the ex husband threatens the family, Ollie, a bear shifter, is more than happy to step in and help.

Friends to lovers troupe after a slow burn start for the couple, which is prompted by danger that Ollie won’t ignore. I loved his support with the children and their trust in his presence. I’m not fond of snakes and this storyline didn’t help with that. 🤣 Bear shifter Ollie can be fierce, but is almost teddy bear when it comes to Allie and her kids.
Glad I read this prior to the next book in the series. It helps in the overall story arc.

Desert Bound by Elizabeth Hunter
Cambio Springs series #2. Paranormal shifter romantic mystery. Can be read as a stand-alone. The town and characters from the first book are included in this story but only as secondary support.
Wolf shifter, Alex McCann and mountain Lion shifter Teodora, “Ted”, Vasquez left Cambio Springs for the outside world for education and adventure. Ted became a doctor and returned to help her hometown shifter residents that can’t go to regular human doctors. Years later, Alex comes back as well, but his goal is to grow the town. A murder in the community has Alex and Ted working together to protect their small community.

Intrigue and mystery along with romance and family. Bears and snakes, coyotes and more. Ted and Alex have a contentious relationship and appear to love to argue and outdo each other. The stories includes the characters from the first book as the town grows and changes as “one bad egg” influences the power structure.
The ending chapter sets up the next book in the series.
