Quentin Hughes is a Liverpool lad born and bred, and it shows in the rich detail and information in this book. The square format suits it's mix of imagery and text. If your'e interested in the architecture of the city of Liverpool and want to get into a little bit more detail than the leaflet guide then go for this one (as well as the trusty Pevsner).
