This book started out to be promising; The story of the restoration of an old house in the Blue Mountains appealed to me as I thought it would uncover the stories of the previous inhabitants. However this didn't happen. Instead we were given a constant stream of the thoughts of the four historians which at times weren't terribly interesting and a whole lot about Florence Broadhurst, Ruskin etc which didn't necessarily add to the story. I liked the description of the the landscapes and the walks in the mountains which were all familiar to me. I also quite liked the interaction of the four people with their different sexual orientations and their good and bad experiences in their love life.
The romance between Addy and Sylvie was beautifully told.… (plus d'informations)
