The bad news is that, while the App Store will handle the technical aspects in the sales, the app developer still has much work to do to attract potential customers and have them download the app... And that's what marketing is all about.
This book covers many aspects of creating and selling a successful app, from communication strategies, price fixation, even some views on functional conception. Since the domain is so broad, you may feel that in some specific fields, it doesn't go far enough (in-app purchases for example, which were quite new at the time this book was written, or in-app advertisment). At the same time, it's a sign that you need to do additional research by yourself if you need more information on some specific topics (many of which are not at all specific to the iPhone : promoting your website with SEO and social web techniques, choosing the right name/icon for your application, writing a proper copy for the description of your app in the store... all these subjects are widely covered by many other marketing books for application and website developers)… (plus d'informations)
