Book One

ONCE YOU STEP OVER THE EDGE THERE'S NO TURNING BACK

Ever feel like everyone else has figured out this thing called life but you’re just watching it fly by, not really living?

Nora Young still believes she has time to figure it all out. She can still go to law school and take on the Supreme Court, make love in the sun, or even share her dreams with her boyfriend. Maybe that explains her morose mood when she realizes she’s moving up the corporate ladder at work as an Event Specialist—not a party planner thank you very much! It might also explain the horror when her emotionally distant boyfriend tosses out the words “marriage” and “kids” as if they’re the inevitable next steps in their benumbed, stifling relationship.

Nora realizes she needs to take control and create a life filled with passion, purpose and adventure.

Ryan Cole walks into her office and seems to offer everything Nora is looking for: passion, adventure—exhibitionism? But just when Nora starts to open up to Ryan and his crazy adventures, his ex girlfriend warns her that Ryan’s real tastes are dangerously extreme. Intrigued, Nora pushes Ryan to reveal his secrets but will Nora be able to handle it when he comes clean? Does setting boundaries with Ryan mean saying goodbye to the most passionate, sexy man she’s ever met?

Received from Netgalley. Let's get this out of the way immediately. This book is not for the prudish. There is a LOT of sex, much of it explicit, and often in public, with or without people watching. If this is not your kinda thing, then dont pick up this book.

That over: Nora is stuck in job that she didnt see herself doing, dating a man who is completely wrong for her, and who doesnt like straying out of his comfort zone. Out with the girls one evening, she dances with a rather sexy stranger, only to find out he is the new client for the event company she works for.

This kicks off a rather explicit relationship (only after staid boyfriend unexpectedly goes off the rails, and dumps her), and she and Ryan become more daring to see how far Ryan can push her out of her comfort zone sexually. It also gives her the push to reevaluate her life and her job, and whether she's where she wants to be (having only talked about it in the previous three years).

Downsides: The friends she was close to at the beginning of the book soon drop off, barely making it into the last quarter of the book. She doesnt discuss her sex life with them, despite them having told her to dump Darren the loser ever since they got together. Darren's dumping her and becoming a rather annoying drunken stalker arent fully explored (then again, who can explain stalkers?!).

Plus sides: there's a lot of explicit sex in different scenarios. If you like that kind of thing.

The story ends just as Nora and Ryan come to an understanding, which sets things up for a second book (I'm assuming with reoccuring characters in some form) Some reviewers have not like this seemingly abrupt ending, but it was....suitable...to lead you into the next book.

Quite steamy with a yummy leading man what more can you ask for. No it's not the next great American novel but it's a thoroughly enjoyable erotic read and for that it was quite a satisfying story.

Sydney Holmes has a new fan. Wow. I mean, really. **fans self** Wow. I wasn't expecting this. I can even... Just read it if you like things really, REALLY hot. But I have to warn you that the ending is a bit abrupt. Nora and Ryan's story will continue in a second book, which isn't out yet at the time of this review. Dammit. Normally, this would annoy me to no freakin' end, but I'm okay with it here because this book ended at a good spot. I mean, yeah, I wanna know what happens next, but it didn't feel like I was totally left hanging.

Did I mention how freakin' hot this book was? Seriously, smokin' hot. Some of the best sex scenes I've read. The characters felt real, which made it even hotter.

One sexy hot read and recommended.

This is my first book by the author and I found it to be engaging and well written.

The story follows two people and the chemistry between them
