A good story of a Christian family and a young teenager who finds herself drawn away by worldly concerns. I won't do any spoilers so you'll have to read the book, but I appreciated the author's sensitivity dealing with the faith decision and the faith journey we must all make for ourselves.

This is a well-done tale of modern American life. It also reminds all that God doesn't have grandchildren. Each of us must make our own decision, but those who are of faith need to pray for those who have walked away from God that He will reach them. New age mysticism is renamed occultism. Pray for all of your loved ones that don't share your faith.

A beautifully written story filled with characters so real, that you feel as if you know them personally. The story is filled with emotion, love, friendship, and great examples of living a Godly life.
Sometimes our lives take paths that we don’t like or understand, but we later find out that our journey was God’s plan for leading others in ministry or for helping someone else who is struggling in like areas. You will find this book to be a lovely display of God’s plan unfolding in the lives of the characters through their life experiences.
This is the eighth book in the Sandy Cove series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, but the stories she shares are deeply enhanced when you have read the previous books. I highly recommend each one.

Okay. This is going to sound rather bizarre, but Amazon offered Book 3 of this series ("Into Magnolia") back in February of this year, so I found myself pulled into that one and knew I wanted to read the first book that launched the series. I will warn you that this book touches some pretty deep issues: suicide, business scandal, extramarital affairs, exploration of alternative beliefs, etc. While the writing itself is okay, it's not a keeper for me. Book 3 is still better that Book 1. (Just so you know, that's not a slam towards Ms. Hines. I think it's just a lot for me to take in one book.)

But it is a clean Christian read. And I did enjoy the background story that Ms. Hines provided at the end of the book. I respect her so much more for her experiences and knowledge on the subjects she covered.
