This was a book my mom had in a bag of books she planned to donate that I decided to read before donating.

Killer Body is a weight loss company--I'm not quite sure what their program entailed. The founder takes supplements and encourages his second in command to do the same. A trainer often used by the company pedals black market medications. Other parts of the book discuss eating disorders and bariatric surgery.

It seems that women go to extreme lengths to try to get the body that Julie Larimore made famous as the spokesmodel for Killer Body. One of those women being reporter Rikki's cousin Lisa, who dies weeks before her wedding. Rikki investigates at the demand of her aunt and uncovers a bigger problem than what she'd anticipated.… (plus d'informations)

Suspense novel about a hearing-impaired reporter who finds herself in the middle of the hunt for a serial killer.

Yes, the hearing-impaired part is integral both to the plot and to the protagonist's personality. Hill had me fooled to the end with her red-herring suspect(s), and I bit hard on the wrong one. She does lose points, though, for pretty well ignoring any law-enforcement activity on the murders. One finds it difficult to believe the only attention being paid to a serial slasher would be coming from the media.

This is the second entry in a series, but stands well on its own.

This was my second book by this author and with Kit Doyle as a character. I had a hard time with one of the characters in this book not trusting Kit. The author never really said why, I guess it was covered in another book.

Anyway, Kit's friend, Farley, is missing and no one has heard from him. He was supposed to go surfing but all of his surfing stuff is still at his house. So Kit is looking for him. She also has a cohort named Virgie who gets the laughs in this book. And for mystery, we have a van following Kit around. There's also some strange characters living off the grid.

I found the book to be entertaining and other than the trust issue with Kit, I enjoyed reading it.

Thanks to Severn House for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

A friend of mine gave me this book to read, she said it was right up my alley, she was right! INTERN BY BONNIE HEARN HILL is a fast paced thrill ride & you dont know who did it till the last chapter. You can guess, but I can guarantee you will be wrong!

Political sex, lies & half truths, INTERN takes you into the life of Senator Eric Barry. His young intern, April is missing. Is she just mad at him or is she dead? And if she's dead who killed her? The Senator? His wife? You dont know until you read the book cause I am not going to tell you!

If you like fast paced hot action mysteries, you have to read the INTERN BY BONNIE HEARN HILL.
