I did not enjoy this book as I do not especially like the abbreviated language etc. Having said that, kids will probably love this book. It is the third in the series. John and his crocodile buddy Cross, meet up with an evil Iguana at the start of the book and after defeating him, they are hungry. Off they go on an adventure to get Pineapple Cheesecake. When they arrive at the factory, they find Big Foot Mae on the floor and off they go to figure out what the strange dot in the sky is. They borrow a racing blimp to get them there. There is a lot of dialogue using language and various fonts kids will love. Some loose ends for the next book in the series, but the ending left me wondering. The drawings in the book were black and white pencil sketches which add something to the story especially for kids.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

NIGHT BUDDIES GO SKY HIGH by Sand Hetherington is an adventurous Juvenile Fiction/Chapter Books. Third Book in the "Night Buddies Chapter Book" series, but can be read as a stand alone. A bit of Fantasy, lots of adventure, a red crocodile named, Crosley and so much, Young Readers are sure to enjoy, yet, another grand adventure.
Once again, Crosley and his friends embark on a hair-raising adventure. Mr. Hetherington has an impressive way with words, his whimsical inventions are sure to impress any and all Young Readers, the wicked foes in his story surely prove loyalty is better, and his way with food, well, we'll leave that one alone. No, I can't, while, some are disgusting, others seem delicious. Laugh out loud moments, as you follow Crosley and his buddies on a sky high adventure. A must for any library. A true treasure. I have enjoyed each and every one of the "Night Buddies Chapter Books" and look forward to many more to come. A definite keeper!

Crosley the bright red crocodile, who is afraid of water is on another adventure with his best buddy John Degraffenreidt. Crosley lives under John’s bed and absolutely loves pineapple cheesecakes. However we learn that the iguana is actually repelled by the pineapple cheesecake. Crosley needs to replenish his supply cheesecakes and so they visit Big Mae and her cheesecake factory. They find her lying on the floor studying a dot on her ceiling that is slowly moving. Crosley’s brother, Crenwrinkle has also spotted this suspicious dot in the night sky. So Crosley and John are off on another program (another way of saying adventure) to determine if this tiny moving speck is a threat or not.

Kids will really love the made up and non-formal language in this book. It makes it more interesting and fun to read. This is the third book in the series and I have really enjoyed them all. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series.

I received a copy to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed here are my own.

I received this as a goodreads first-read giveaway. Like the first book, this is probably a better read-aloud book for someone in grade 4 as the vocabulary can be confusing as there as a lot of made up words. It is funny and silly and should appeal to kids.
