Anna's confidence was eroded up to and through her marriage. No matter how she explained it to herself she felt rejected and fragile. Her energy was gone, her confidence was nil and she was afraid to try anything new. When she inherits a country home in Scotland from an unknown benefactor her friends encourage her to go there and make the necessary life decisions. This is a story of her journey of self, and to solve the mystery of the person who left her the property and her relationship to Anna. This was definitely a thoughtful yet easy read, though Anna's age was given as in her 60's this could be a divorce/widow/widower of any age.
