A comic novel about the people involved in making a TV sitcom. There is a lot of funny material in this easy to read book. I don't think there is much depth to it, but it has its funny moments. Set in late '80s LA sort of dates it, too. A book with a theme of celebrity culture had too many dead celebrities in it.

One of the funniest books I have ever read. The plot is an insider's tale about producing a television situation comedy with a prima donna star. It is narrated in the first person by a producer on a two-man team. The author was a producer of "Maud," but this book is definitely not a roman a clef.

An even better option is to listen to the unabridged audio book as read by George Guidall, the best audio book reader of all time.
