CW's: anxiety, trauma responses, death of character (off page)

This was a pretty good "I'm in love with the boy-next-door/small town" romance. What I really appreciated was the anxiety/trauma depiction. Cole lost his first wife after she gave birth to their daughter. It's been 9 years and he's guarded himself because he believes (although he does not recognize this in himself) good things do not last so you have got to be prepared for the other shoe to drop at a moment's notice. In fact, instead of enjoying happiness it's better to do something to undermine happiness because it will not last and it's better to avoid it than loose it. I read this with my girls Stephanie and Kate and buddy reads with them is always fun. I liked this but I can't say I loved it thought which is sad because I wanted to love it. I will say I loved the characters and the idea of love in Paris sounds AMAZING!!!!!! BUT......
I’m not a fan of instalove and this one was definitely instalove, but I loved that Mia took charge of her own happiness and was able to redefine her life on her terms. This book had plenty of heat and even more heart. Lucas was swoon-worthy from the get go. Frenched is told in the first person from Mia’s point of view which I loved. Mia is a list maker and her lists can be downright goofy at times and they are sprinkled throughout the book. It made her even more endearing to the reader and you couldn’t help but root for the couple, despite the long-distance challenges they face.… (plus d'informations)

Only You, Always You

I actually really loved this book. The relationship the two characters had started as friends and developed to more yet they always had underlying lust for each other they never acted upon it until later on. I loved seeing Nate learning from the baby and stepping up to be such a wonderful father, talk about exploding ovaries. I wouldn’t say it was a fast paced book but there wasn’t any time wasted it dove in to the story and stayed there and I love those type of books.… (plus d'informations)
