Lovely, colorful illustrations enhance poetic, earnest discussion of the Jewish holidays throughout the year. Notes at the end explain the holidays and the symbols used in the illustrations. I particularly liked a depiction of the phases of the moon which looked like (at least to me) the uterus and ovaries.

This is an interesting twist on the historical relevance of the Jewish holidays. This legend focuses it’s teaching on the different sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the seasons and their relevance to the traditional holidays.

God is walking Adam an Eve through the Garden of Eden teaching them the story of holidays and seasons of the Jewish faith. The illustrations are inspired by art in the area where Judaism originated.
