Seriously, I wish people who rate books as low as a "1" or a "2" would take a minute to post some sort of note to say why they've rated the book so poorly. Otherwise, what's the point--just keep your opinion to yourself, since it's really of no use to anyone.

I don't know anything about identifying birds, and I would say that people like me are probably the audience for this book--unnknowledgable but interested. As the introduction says, the book is "designed primarily for the casual, beginning,and intermediate birdwatcher."

Each bird is given two pages--one with the name and information about the bird; the other a color illustration of the bird, male and female. The birds are arranged in the book according to size, so if I spot a bird out my kitchen window that is "small," then I have a starting place in this book.

If you've ever stood in your back yard and said, "I wonder what kind of bird that is," then I think you'll find this book useful.… (plus d'informations)
