Thus the day began: the day of the coldest football championship game (probably the coldest football game of any kind) in NFL history. And it actually got COLDER!
I expected this book to be about the famous football championship game commonly known as "The Ice Bowl," and it was. But it was also about the two coaches, Lombardi and Landry, and how their coaching styles evolved leading up to the fateful game. It also was a little too technical for a reader like me. I enjoy my football, but my ability to understand the X's and O's of the playbook is somewhat limited. I thought the book was at its best in the anecdotes it told about the conditions that day and the people involved in the game. I give it about three stars -- but it would probably be rated higher from a reader more in tune with the details of football strategy.… (plus d'informations)
