- Harriet Griffey is a freelance writer, print and broadcast journalist, who writes regularly for UK nationals and magazines. She originally trained as a nurse at the Middlesex Hospital, London but since 1980 she has worked extensively in book publishing, television production, print and broadcast journalism, and has published numerous books.

Review: This is a great informational book that teaches about mummies. There are pictures of real and fake artifacts and mummies. This is a great beginning readers chapter book.
Summary: This book is all about mummies and the history behind them. Each page is filled with information and pictures of how to make a mummy, people from the past, the mummies curse, and different types of mummies.
Argument: I liked reading this book and looking at the pictures. I have learned about mummies in elementary school, but this book was filled with information that I have not heard about before. I learned how Egyptians made mummies and the process that they went through.
I think the main purpose of this story is to teach children about Egyptian mummies. Children seem to enjoy books about history and interesting topics like this.… (plus d'informations)

This little gem has "feel-good" written all over it! You will cheer plump little Ruby as she stands strong and follows her dream to pursue dance in spite of the doubters all around. I will be replacing my current copy as it was well loved and a bit fragile, but don't let that stop you from acquiring this book, the paper-engineering is intricate and adds greatly to the story. My favorite pop-up is the twirling, whirling Ruby on stage at the end, brava Ruby!
An interesting book for older children. They will be surprised there are modern as well as ancient mummies.
