Yes it is cheesy and corny but it was a popular show and still in reruns.

Filled with groaners and idiocy; this book is what happens when grown men gather in wilderness areas.

If you loved the TV show Red Green, you will like Red Green talks cars : a love story. Written by show creators Steve Smith (Red Green) and Rick Green (Bob), there are sections on car care and safety tips (or should I say car neglect and how to get hurt in 20 easy steps), vacations with cars (try stuffing 8 or more in the Possum van), auto-biographies, and the Possum Lodge song book. Lest you want to take the book seriously, the very first page has a word of caution from Bernice, Red’s long suffering wife, about not using any of the suggestions or making the projects in the book. In fact, don’t read the book at all. But you would miss so much if you put it down – how to improve your gas mileage by using a gas siphon, doing your own car maintenance using the handyman’s secret weapon: duct tape, what to do in case of accident and many hilarious handyman corner projects. Our Possum Lodge favorites are represented: Harold, Winston Rothschild II of Rothschild’s Sewage and Septic Sucking Services, Mike Hammar, Dougie Franklin, and Dalton Humphrey. Try doing the crossword puzzle by Old Man Sedgewick with clues like My Dad’s name and Where I lost my hat once. And the Possum Lodge traffic bylaws are a hoot. You won’t learn anything practical about cars and driving but you will laugh along with the Possum Lodge gang. Now that the show is off the air, this is the next best thing. Enjoy!… (plus d'informations)

If you liked the show Red Green then you'll like this book. It is fairly small and easy to read but enjoyable. I'm afraid the show was ruined when it was taken over by a network.
