I'm truly unsure how to rate this book. At first I couldn't get into it, it was just such a strange read and things were so different than what I am used to, but then about just over 1/4 of the way through things started making more sense and I got thoroughly into it. This was definitely a new concept of paranormalish I feel like it's a mix of dragon/vampire total odd but I kind of liked it. I think had Thea explained a bit more to Magda about their lives I think it would have been a bit better, we would have got a bit more of a back story to go with the whole clan but things took a turn before that could happen so alas... I was stuck wondering and wanting more. I don't think a lot of the females have a lot of choice on who they "mate" with - it seems that they just have to take it sometimes......I wouldn't classify it as dark perse but there's a few undercurrents maybe for the more sensitive individuals… (plus d'informations)

I am a huge vampire fan, so the idea of the Nuria really appealed to me. I did find myself feeling a bit of pain for Magda, but I can relate to her feelings of insecurity/jealousy. The story was very easy for me to get into, and I feel as though it flowed well. I was on the edge of my seat all the way until the end of the book, so now I absolutely have to find out what happens next in the series. There is quite a bit of sex and violence, so reader beware.
