I read this many months ago, a story of love in a version of celtic Ireland with faerie and quests. Lana has a weak heart and an odd birthmark little knowing that this was a sign that she was going to be the host for a fey sword, when Keegan is sent to find the sword he finds himself having to deal with Lana, whom he regards as weak and useless.

It's pretty predictable, readable though. The celtic mythology wasn't too mangled which makes a nice change.

Fey Born par R.Garland Gray

A very heavy read, and a slightly annoying use of present tense instead of past tense on several occasions. The overall concept is interesting, but the intermingling of the Fey and mortals, the Tuatha De Dannan and Druids/Sorcerers makes it hard to place the story in a recognisable time period.

The slow narrative, while adding to the ambience of the story, detracts from the suspense and one is left feeling like a deer in headlights.

With the usual romance elements in place, this book in the end is an average read.… (plus d'informations)

Predestined par R. Garland Gray

Tynan is the part fairy born to fulfill a prophesy which includes a geas to wed a territorial goddess. Brynna is a Roman slave who is drawn to help Tynan when he is captured and ensnared by an evil sorcerer. Together they embark on a quest to free the fairies and to see if their destiny is to be with one another, or not be together at all.

Although Predestined seems to tred along a familiar romance novel format the author's interesting take on fairy mythology and strong characterizations make this story a riviting and fun read.… (plus d'informations)
