Stan Grant, Jr. was born on September 30, 1963 in Griffith, New South Wales, Australia. He is a graduate of University of New South Wales and Australian National University. He has worked as a news presenter or host of programs for Australian Macquarie Radio Network, Seven, and ABC television afficher plus networks and is a CNN New Anchor. He is also the Indigenous affairs editor for Guardian Australia and won the 2015 Walkley award for coverage of Indigenous affairs. He serves as an Ambassador of the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation. He is an author. His books include The Tears of Strangers and Talking to My Country.
