- Responsible for the development, management, and production of WNED television projects, John Grant has spearheaded numerous major programs for public television, including Elbert Hubbard: An American Original, Your Life, Your Money, The Adirondacks, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Buffalo, Great Lodges of the National Park, The Marines, America’s Houses of Worship, Niagara Falls, Adventure Lodges, Window to the Sea, West Point, Legendary Lighthouses and America’s Scenic Railway Journeys. He has also written seven companion books for his television programs and earned an Emmy for his work on the acclaimed children’s series Reading Rainbow. Grant was previously senior vice president of programming at PBS. He founded Driftwood Productions which has produced more than 50 hours of documentary programming on history, travel, science and lifestyle topics. Driftwood specializes in producing documentaries for public television, cable, syndication, home video and international distribution.

PBS Special and this one covers facts about houses themselves, the people that lived in them and other fun facts about
not only the northeast lighthouses but ones on west coast-which we've seen a few and ones from the great lakes.
Castles by the sea sums it up. Not sure what the fascination is with me: prisms in the lenses, remote areas or help they provide to mariners.
