Good story using a teacher as the main character in a mystery/crime novel which was a nice change from all the mysteries with lawyers and/or detectives. The story was good enough and the main character likable enough to keep me reading until the end and looking forward to the next book. Also, it takes place at the Jersey Shore which is familiar to me and I like that too. Possibly fewer characters would make things less confusing at times. Does suffer from unrealistic scenes but even some of the best mystery writers make this mistake. Example: a woman over 40 hearing an intruder would not shush somebody, get out her gun and confront the intruder... topless. She just wouldn't. She would throw SOMETHING on. Anything. Still, I would recommend it and I have. It's fun to read a first novel in a series that takes place in the state I live in by an author who is new to fiction. That and the fact that I liked the story and the main character a lot makes this a four star book for me.… (plus d'informations)
