This was a fun book to read. It does a good job of wrapping up the loose ends left in The Outer Perimeter. The aliens true motives are revealed. I enjoyed the idea of a CSI officer with memory loss attempting to regain his memories while trying to solve mystery .I like this author and his main cast of characters. I will read more of this guys work.

This was a fun read until the muddled ending. I had read the last chapter several times and still hardly got a handle on the sequence of events. The only reason I see for it is that maybe Goddard was giving us the confused perspective of the characters. Up till that point this was a fabulous mystery. Goddard filled in a lot of the loose ends of the prior book First Evidence. I can't wait to read Final Disposition which will be the final book of the series.

The idea of a forensic investigator investigating the presence of aliens I thought was a novel idea. The audio book was a fun experience. There were parts where the forensic criminal investigator seemed in real danger. There were some funny incidents that lightened the dark mood of the book. The water's principal faultless in the actions of the investigator the police and the aliens. None of their actions or motives could stand up to serious examination.> This book is not for serious mystery readers or highbrow science fiction readers. It is a a decent first novel. Its something you would read or listen to while you are waiting to get the book you really want to read from the library… (plus d'informations)

I did enjoy this police-procedural-meets-alien-contact combination; it was well-written and engaging, and really rates more of a 3.5 than just a 3 from me. My only quibble is the level of detail that the author sometimes went into...things were happening, certainly, but sometimes they took a l o n g time to happen. There were also a few questions I had at the end...but overall definitely a good, fun, summer read.
