While I would have liked to see more pictures of McQueen's creations (where is the book that has everything?) I very much appreciated the chronological format and careful photo choices that make up this book. It is rare that we see a fashion book that presents a designer's collections in such an organized fashion, so it is very much applauded when it happens. Maybe it's a format that only works for short-lived designers with a finite body of work (the other example I've seen chronologizes Dior's 10 seasons), but this seems like a cheap excuse. Start from the beginning and tell the story as far as possible - reader's can draw their own conclusions about references and themes. A perfectly serviceable introduction to archaeology and how they explore the ancient ruins of civilizations past.

The issue I have is the author's strange choice of what words to show readers how to properly pronounce, like vegetable, while a person's name, like Doctor Zahi Hawass or Aiad are just left up to the reader's imagination, I suppose.

This is a powerhouse book on the subject. There are small-time designers who cater to this niche for enactors and stage productions and film. Some very nice work is represented as well as introducing particular theater troupes and bands.

This is a great basic guide to Wicca. Perfect for the beginner witch, there are some sections that will be helpful to most Pagan paths. Nevertheless, this book is mainly about Wicca, so other Pagans may prefer to find something a little more relevant to their own path.
