Julie hasn't been out for a night on the town in three years. She decides to visit her friend's bar, Out of Bounds and meets the sexy sometimes DJ, Sin, who happens to be far from the normal bar inhabitant. Suddenly, life as she knows it changes when she learns Sin is the Welsh god of wisdom and music, and he can shapeshift into the shape of a tiger! Her attraction to Sin takes backseat to helping Hal save his bar.

I’ve always been one of those girls that loves a good meet-at-a-bar romance novel. It might be my love of bad boys and biker chicks, but I've always loved getting my hands on books revolving around a bar. This book is far from the cliche bar romance that I'm used to. It was fun, original, and very intriguing. There was something about the book that kept me wanting more.

There were a few things that kept this book from being a five star read. Within twenty minutes of meeting Julie, Sin confesses his deepest, darkest secrets. What the heck? I have friends I've known for years that don't know my secrets, and he just blurts his out? Crazy. The characters move too fast for my taste, even though this is a shorter book than usual. It's also an issue that quite a few authors have, putting everything out there and not leaving any mystery. Mystery and curiosity are what keeps a reader's interest.

In the end, this wasn't a bad story. I enjoyed the plot and the characters very much. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author and I hope her writing continues to grow.

JUST RIGHT is a friends to lovers romance. Jason Bradshaw and Mercedes "Sadie" Kelley have known each other almost their entire lives. In fact, Jason is Sadie's best friend's younger brother.

The story starts out with Sadie and her friend Jessie, Jason's older sister, at a bar to pick up guys. Sadie is in desperate need to have a mind blowing bedroom encounter. But, she's striking out like crazy. In walks Jason, who sounds like the type of guy Sadie is looking for. With Jason's reputation, Sadie is sure she will be be satisfied. She just isn't ready for the secret Jason has in store for her.

I will admit, I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. I didn't know what the heat level would be or how far the envelope would be pushed. I mean when a guy asks if you trust him and then spanks you, I immediately think Gideon Cross or Christian Grey.

The spanking was as far as the envelope was pushed. I liked Sadie and I loved Jason. I just had a problem with Jason constantly having to know how Sadie felt about him. He just kept pushing for her to say she loved him. Jason just ended up seeming borderline needy.

There was a nice little surprise at the end of the book. All and all, JUST RIGHT is an enjoyable read.

3 1/2 stars. This was a cute read--I especially enjoyed seeing things from Yves's perspective, especially when he was in dog form. Watching Regina and Yves's feelings for each other develop was very sweet. However, it really felt like so much more could have been done with this story. Many of the parts that should have been big and dramatic felt a bit on the shallow and easy side. Still, it was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. I'll definitely be interested to see what Ms. Gissendaner writes in the future.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

One Hot Knight is witty and humorous. It really had me smiling. Some of the turn of events were predictable, but of course, I was caught off guard and didn’t expect anything. Yves, oh my gosh, Yves had me at the first sentence, with “Stupid, curse!” I could completely hear his proper English. Regina is kind and sweet, but watch out for her temper when she really gets mad. The banter between these two is great.

This is the story of a nine hundred-year-old curse and a dog’s/man’s journey to find the one person to help him break the curse. It’s a story of two kindred spirits who magically find each other in this crazy world. I would have given the story a higher rating if it didn’t leave me with unanswered questions that I can’t mention in this review as they could give away the story. I’ll also add that the ending though complete, seemed just a tad bit abrupt. But overall, it was definitely worth my time to read this book.
