Efram, hottie with a hidden secret, and Miranda, stressed to gills with an ex-pain in the ass. These two are made for each other. There is some instant spark there. The fun is reading along as the secrets are found out and how they work through them. The author has a wonderful way with words. Miranda is a strong character and I love how she still shows her feminine ways and vulnerability when she needs to. I loved the plot. I loved the other characters. Yeah this was pretty bad. I almost gave up a bunch of times. It was very repetitive and extremely long. Basically she agrees to be his slave and do anything for her sister but then fights him everytime he asks her to do anything. I mean make up your mind. The scifi element was weird and not really my thing but worked alright. The book needs a decent editor. There's potential for a decent book here but the plot needs to be reworked and cut down. The world building needs to be expanded, the romance pared back and the characters developed further. And the pacing needs to be tweaked - first 80% is slow and repetitive and the last 20% just throws a million plot points into the mix. 1 star.… (plus d'informations)
