Yuck-fooey

There was one pretty decent story, that I read all the way through. That was the first one, "Containment ". All ten of the rest I quit a couple pages into, for either unbelievable characters or situations, puerile thinking, plot holes you could drop a star through without toasting the edges...

I really, really enjoyed these stories. Each one was so different and there were so many really cool takes on the concept of time travel.

Like most anthologies this was a mixture of good and bad. I particularly enjoyed Corrections by Susan Kaye Quinn (an author I was interested in reading) and loved The First Cut by Edward W. Robertson. That's not to say there are not any other notable stories, a few are very thought provoking and moving, but these two were the highlights for me personally.

These stories are very beginner level (nothing new or memorable) ones, the kind of fiction amateur wannabe writers write in fanzines. None really terrible, but neither good. I have been avidly reading tons of scifi for more than 30 years and never heard of any of these authors: should have ringed a bell. The fact there are 12 authors and only 62 reviews, about all of them extatic (about 5 friends per author) should have ringed another. Well, my bad. Be warned and do not make the same mistake. There was one goodish story (containment) , but even that one went on too slowly for its own good.
PS. I did love the covers for the entire Beyond the Stars series, though: don't know who did them, but great work, congratulations!
