Different story of a man and woman who meet and start a relationship without realizing that 10 years ago the heroine's brother had been sent to prison for killing the hero's brother. When they realize it, the hero had a hard time accepting that the heroine still loved her brother and the heroine refused to believe that there weren't extenuating circumstances. Other members of both families were added to the mix with all their attendant emotions.

The story kept my interest and moved at a good pace. The relationship seemed realistic in how the protagonists struggled to stay together despite their difficult history. Overall this was a well written story.… (plus d'informations)

This was more of a family story than a romance. It involved the two families of man. The families had never met because of all the pain involved in the breakup of the first family by the second woman. Then the youngest daughter needs a kidney transplant and they all meet. There is a lot of delving into hurt feelings and such. Eventually the older girl from the first family marries the stepson of the her father's second family. So there is a romance but it is hardly the main focus of the story. Interesting plot and well written. The kidney disease was explained and dealt with in a true manner I believe. A nice read but nothing stellar.… (plus d'informations)

Kelly Carmichael is wrongfully accused of kidnapping, so in order to clear herself she skips bail and heads to the small town of Indigo Springs in Pennsylvania where she believes the real kidnapper, a woman named Mandy who set her up, to be. Once there, Kelly meets forest ranger Chase Bradford who just so happens to be searching for the same woman as Kelly. It seems that Mandy left her son with Chase when they were dating, and then vanished. Now Chase wants to find Mandy so he can adopt young Toby. Kelly and Chase team up in their search for Mandy although Kelly doesn’t reveal her real reason for searching for Mandy. What will Chase do when he finds out Kelly is a fugitive?

This was a very entertaining story that held my interest throughout. Both Kelly and Chase were likable characters and I couldn’t wait till they found Mandy and I was looking forward to their confrontation with her. Besides the romance between Kelly and Chase, I also enjoyed the secondary romance between Chase’s father and his ladyfriend, which was so sweet. The setting was lovely in the fictional small-town of Indigo Springs. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

I liked two of the stories, Santa Baby by Sherryl Woods and Deck the Halls by Darlene Gardner. The one by Holly Jacobs was ridiculous. Starts out as anti-over consumption and then ends saying its OK because you're buying something for someone else and that's OK no matter how much you spend or how silly or rude you get in the process of getting it.
