Nice beach read

Love the character development of not only Darcy and Caroline but also how Adrian and Emma have progressed from the last novel. How Gardiner built up to not only the royal wedding but to how Darcy dealt with his father's death and gaining lordship...oh and how he and Caroline reconnect. I do want to add that Gardiner not only reconnects this book with the last but introduces the characters of the next book in a very intriguing way.

A to z of why to read this book

A for Andi the American philanthropistsocial worker to the world who was forced to quit her graduate studies in social work due to taking a picture of one Zander, a womanizing tabloid feeding royal who shows everyone in a Vegas hotel pool his royal jewels. A series of misfortune and coincidences create many opportunities for Andi and Zanders paths to cross. Funny moments with reminders from the previous books and leads nicely to the next book in the series. My main complaint is there are a few moments where the author writes the wrong character name Emma's name comes up a few times where it should be Andis along with a few typos and sentence structure issues. Character development pushes the plotline and enhances the story.… (plus d'informations)

Beautiful settings

Gardiner describes the numerous setting in great detail from the various shades of blue and green for the Caribbean Sea and the British Virgin Islands to the Australian sunsets with orange and red. But the focus is Pippa and Topher. Topher's boyhood crush on Pippa along with numerous embarrassing moments builds a faux conflict for Topher. Pippa is conflicted about their relationship for numerous reasons, one of which is her friendship to Topher's older brother Zander from the previous novel. Plus her kinredship with the Queen and her husband as second parents to her...Pippa was fearful of ruining that relationship by beginning a romantic one with Topher. One aspect I was a bit disappointed by was the lack of character development for Topher. As readers we are given the explanation of why Topher distanced himself from the rest of the family, but we don't really see who he is as a person as we did with Adrian and Darcy. Less of the previous characters are intertwined in this novel as in the previous books, although that could be due to Topher's distance from his family. I was slightly disappointed with this novel.… (plus d'informations)
