Summary:
In this book it starts off with an introduction about the book going to press as clean up from 9/11 was happening and the laws that were being put in effect to find and punish terrorists. The book then continues on with a brief history of the World Trade Center Towers and the businesses that were located inside. In this chapter the book also gives a history of terrorism. The chapters of the book then go on to discuss the events of 9/11 and the devastation, how our government responded to the attack, Osama bin Laden, what steps American has taken in the fight against terrorism, and how the American people began treating all Muslim people and the start of a huge prejudice.

Personal Reaction:
I thought this book was very informative and I would use it in my classroom to give extra insight to my students about just how bad the attacks were. Since none of these kids were even born yet when the attacks happened, I want them to truly understand how America felt as a nation. I remember exactly where I was and I still get tears and chills to this day remembering watching the second plane hit live on television. I now have an idea of how my parents generation felt when they heard about President Kennedy being shot. To me it was like time stood still.

Classroom Extensions:
1. Have a power point slide of pictures and some videos of the events as well as the aftermath to engage my students kinetically.
2. Have my students think and draw what they would have done in the space where the towers used to be to commemorate the lives lost.
