2.5 stars. I found the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the book rather chaotic and jumpy, and found myself putting it down several times. But I hate to let a book go unread, so I plowed through. It did get a *bit* better in the last 1/3. Some mysteries were revealed, although the big reveal seemed rather rushed, almost as an afterthought. And there was almost too much action: Tammy Jo gets kidnapped, to escape, to get kidnapped again, to escape and then almost gets kidnapped a few more times, and every other paragraph someone has a gun pointed at Tammy Jo or Bryn. And then what was with her trying so hard to conceal the fact she was a witch only to do spells outright in front of folks? And as other reviewers mentioned, I too got tired of the whole Zach/Bryn choice. Yes, yes, they have this "synergy," but really, it seemed disingenuous. Overall, I just didn't enjoy this one. It lacked the charm and humor of the first two, the story was a bit of a mess, and the ending was anti-climatic.… (plus d'informations)
