Yay! I liked this book a lot. Fun, interesting, and well written.

A longer review will be posted on C-Spot Reviews after the book is released but it mostly says the same thing.

A Pirate's Heart par Catherine Friend

This is the second time I've read this book, the first being many years ago. My thoughts are pretty much the same, I love the historical pirate story featuring Captain Tommy Farris and enjoyed the modern day story featuring Randi and Emma. The unfolding of Tommy's story was interesting and engaging and I wish there had been more of it.

Anyone who enjoys lesbian romances and pirates should really like this book. It's a bit dated in some ways (PDAs and no use of Google - *gasp*) but that doesn't take away from the story.… (plus d'informations)

The Spanish Pearl par Catherine Friend

I love this two book series (along with The Crown of Valencia) and wish there could have been even more. Well, that's not really true. There's not much more there could have been but the characters were fantastic. And the way the author handles the historical aspects and the things that Kate has to get used to is just great.

Sheepish: Two Women, Fifty Sheep, and Enough Wool to… par Catherine Friend

I was struggling through a terribly depressing book chosen by my book club (AHEM, Book Club!) and just wasn't feeling it. So when Sheepish showed up on my book truck at work, instead of shelving it, I brought it home. Yay! Funny, smart, made me want to start a sheep ranch--or at least be one of the people who pay $200 for the "Farm Experience." I should've gone right back to the depressing book club book, but I grabbed another title by Friend instead. Sorry, Book Club.
