Juile Fortenberry

This was our monthly Imagination Library book for March. My daughter loves this, and wants to read it every night. I like it enough to read it to her every night.

Pearl's mother is a dance instructor, and Pearl loves dance school. She isn't so sure about another kind of school (preschool), but her mom introduces the idea gently and lets Pearl decide on her own that she'd like to go (along with her stuffed mouse, Violet). Pearl has a great first day - although the best part is still dancing!

Such a sweet book. Perfect for any little one who loves dance or who might be feeling a bit shy about starting preschool. The illustrations are as pretty as they can be, and the author's daughter is a ballet dancer so the drawings are accurate and informed. This is a win!
