Quantum Bullsh*t: How to Ruin Your Life with Advice… par Chris Ferrie
Solid science when he got to explaining it—but Too many interruptions.
A nice mix of the physical and biological scientific aspects of oceanography! May as well plant the seeds young, and the scaling between different knowledge levels seems reasonable here.
I really liked this one (in general, I think I prefer the Baby University entries where there's a co-author involved... though those usually tend to be the more biological ones outside of Chris Ferrie's field). A wide range of fields covered between zoology, botany, microbiology, human anatomy etc. which is a really nice variety to see. The illustrations do feel a little bit scientific poster presentation though, but for an introductory book that's not too terrible.
I actually liked this one more than [b:ABCs of Mathematics|34569849|ABCs of Mathematics|Chris Ferrie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1495785906l/34569849._SX50_.jpg|55715672] so I may go back and dock that one a star- this one's more approachable and has a good variety of biology, physics, and chemistry in addition to the scientific method (T for theory with a chart!)
Of course, as a genetics-background person I'm pleased to see gene, mitosis, and zygote be represented as well as vaccine because that's important for keeping bab safe!
I get that some reviewers think some of these concepts are too technical but c'mon. Gotta start them young while that neuroplasticity's still nice and stretchy!… (plus d'informations)
