loved the illustrations which are made from “self-hardening clay,
acrylic paint and mixed-media collage.” They are vibrant in their natural
colors and intricate in their scenes. Children will be able to spend time
on each vignette to learn about how animals live during the winter,
whether above or below the snow.
It’s fun to try and find Kitten on each page, sometimes she’s out and
about and other times you have to search for her. This could easily be
made into a game during story time, “who finds Kitten first.”
The simple rhymes with each scene will also help young children identify
the creatures and what they are doing.

When Kady has a bath, she gets carried away as the waves get bigger and bigger. She and her faithful feline friend share the tub with creatures big and small. Fernandes shows how much fun having a bath can be. Full color. -- GoodReads

Toby has hair right down to her knees. It's curly and twisty and bouncy and big. Robins build nests in it, puppies snuggle underneath it, babies' fingers get tangled in it and candies get stuck in it! Little Toby wants to have the longest hair in the world.
One day Toby and her wild hair create a BIG mess. Mother has a fit. Toby is upset. But with the help of an unlikely friend, Toby comes up with a happy hair solution and she learns that, no matter what you look like, people should love you any way at all. -- GoodReads… (plus d'informations)
