Anyone who's read any volume of my reviews likely knows I'm an unapologetic Beatles fan. I don't have a favourite Beatle anymore (it constantly shifted back and forth between Lennon and McCartney for years), instead deciding in the past couple of decades to simply enjoy every one of them for different reasons.

Lennon and Harrison seem to get the most quality collections, and this one is a beautiful edition, loaded with photographs from the three year period when Harrison owned the world. This chronicles various aspects of the cover shoot for All Things Must Pass, the concert imagery from the concert for Bangla Desh, and finally, a bizarre psychedelic Mad Hatter's party (with Harrison as Pope, no less!) for his Living In The Material World album.

It's interesting to see Harrison and Dylan on the stage for the Bangla Desh concert, knowing that some 15 years later, they'd be in a group together with a few other famous guys.

Just a lovely book.

Being a choice of photographs, many invoving the film industry as it was in the early 1960's, accompanied by poems written by songwriter Dylan. Only a few of the photographs are particularly moving or involving. As for the poems, there never has been a photograph improved by juxtaposing it with a poem, and there never will be.
