Concise commentary on Romans 9-11 taking the position that the Church does not replace Israel as some contend; rather, Israel today still maintains a special relationship with God as a nation. As a nation in covenant with God, Israel is still elect. Furthermore, Ellison asserts that this section of Romans argues against the Calvinistic notion of unconditional election saying "it is Israel's place as the People of God that is concerning Paul throughout, not this or that man's ultimate salvation" (p.85). Ellison provides us with a succinct exegetical examination that focuses on the subject leaving all other irrelevant considerations (that only confuse the issue) aside.… (plus d'informations)
