The jury is still out when it comes to the true significance of Faulcault. Stuart Eldon's book offers a clear review of Faulcault's political rebirth and his philosophy post his 1969 awakening.

It is sometimes difficult to remember what life was like in the late '60's, and to be fair to an intellectual of the era. Faulcault certainly was a child of his time and many of his views are coloured by the, now dated, flower power tinted spectacles of the age. Behind this, however, there are thoughts well worth retaining in our 'enlightened' twenty-first century life. Eldon is a transparent window into this world and, as far as a mere amateur, such as myself, can tell, illuminates his philosophy well.

I suspect that this book would yield so much more to a true acolyte of Faulcault but, is also an excellent introduction to the average reader.
