This is one of those books. Unexplained red feathers and impossible occurrences. Love is all around once you let it. A "twist" that telegraphed itself. Foreshadowing that is misleading. And why would the jerky guy keep on with her if he was in love with someone else. Why bother? But some of the descriptions are interesting and provide an interesting picture of modern-day London. (I have no basis to say it is accurate.)
