Good fun read.. not terribly believable but it's fantasy so who cares! Hot rock star who is secretly an undercover 'agent'? Yes... believable or not, sign me up.

Better than book 1.. loved the mouthy heroine and I have a thing for the bald guys, so there you have it..

So... SEALs undercover to catch a 'terrorist' (who sounds more like an ordinary criminal and only serves as a prop) posing as a famous rock star and his bodyguard. Only I gather they have been undercover like that for many years and will stay like that. Really? And the manager has no clue that they are SEALs. Really?
No romance novel is complete without handsome and manly firefighters so at some point they are thrown into the mix as an unnecessary prop.
The heroine has some baggage, which again only serves as a prop later on in the story.
Then there's the house the heroine is designing for the hero. It's like a pop-up house, because one moment it has to be designed, the next it's partly finished, the next it's burned down, then it's as good as finished, only to be destroyed again... And as the whole story seems to take place in days or a week at the most this is really weird.
There is a suspense element, but the culprit can be spotted right away so there's not much suspense, and the ways this person tries to hurt the heroine are erratic and childish at best.
All in all, a bit of a train wreck I couldn't look away from.
Rating: 3/10

For a free read on Amazon, I really enjoyed it. I was impressed. The author drew me in. I want to know more about Max and Cameron now. It's a good read!
