Very readable book. If one has any interests in marine matters, exploration, economic geography or history then I think you will be well pleased.

I have visited islands in all three archipelegos so perhaps it makes it more live for more than for most but even without that bonus I think it a worthwhile read.

The author does round out the story by mentioning in broad terms where the islands are in development terms in the 20th century.
