Lion in the White House: A Life of Theodore Roosevelt par Aida D. Donald
A breezy read that lightly skips through the man's biography and accomplishments without stopping much to critically examine it. This is the heroic Teddy; Rough Rider, trust buster, friend of the working man. This is rather refreshing when most biographies are 600-1000 page tomes of competing views or snooze inducing detail.
Basic biography about the life of T.R. Regrettably misnamed, it's not just about his White House years, but his whole life. If you have time to read one book about the life of T.R, I'd pick H. W. Brands or Nathan Miller. Edmund Morris, if you'll need more. There's nothing new here.
A great start to reading about Theodore Roosevelt. I like to read a quick overview of a president before I start on the 500-pagers, and this was perfect. Donald hit just the highlights, and that's what I was looking for.
