I received this book for free from Member's Reviewers. I really liked this book. It was very interesting to read the decline of the author as he became an alcoholic. I've learned a lot about the disease reading about Kieran's ups and downs while drinking.

This book was not at all what I expected. I expected another boring self-help book about how to get your life back on track. This book, however, is thoroughly exciting and fascinating. It's not a self-help book by any definition. I highly recommend it.

I found this to be a very interesting book. The author takes us through his life as an alcoholic. Even though this book is quite amusing you can see the pain and hurt that alcoholic's go through. We see his struggle to get past the alcohol. We learn that with determination, hope, love and encouragement from others we can be powerful enough to do anything. Great book

The author succinctly overviews the state of English affairs in the early 17th century, the crucial funding provided by The Virginia Company investors, and the important crew members including Thomas Gates, George Somers and Christopher Newport. The narrative covers not only the Sea Venture's harrowing voyage from England and the story of shipwreck and survival on remote Bermuda, but also decades following when members of the Sea Venture played a vital role in the survival and growth of Jamestown (and the Bermuda colony). Many notable figures from this interesting period are included, e.g., Powhatan, Captain John Smith, John Rolfe and Pocahontas.… (plus d'informations)
