69 minutes of watching people in the New York City subway is not that entertaining despite the talented Mr. DiCillo's cinematography. There are occasionally arresting images, however. People sleeping. The occasional friendly gesture to a child. The music. The incessant video displays in some cases. The only dialogue is basically just people going about their daily lives. I'm sure this must have taken a long time to edit and--as I said--it does look very nice. It also has a pretty good soundtrack.… (plus d'informations)

Short and funny, this film about filmmaking has a great performance by Le Gros as an obnoxious actor and by Buscemi as a director on the edge of losing it in the midst of food poisoning, fire, and a host of other problems. But--and here is the film's secret--much of it is in the anxious dreams of the participants. The line between reality and cinema is hard to find--but wait--this is a film itself! Well-written and directed by DeCillo. Mulroney, Keener, Von Zerneck, Dinklage, and the rest of the cast are also just about perfect.… (plus d'informations)
